mikomichan and I have been hit by the plushie bug (well, she recently has. I have had this phase coming and going for a while) and decided to put our skills to the test and actually start producing them on a commission basis. We're going to set up a DevArt account, but we actually are not creative so if any of you wanna help us out with names, PLEASE FILL OUT THE POLL BELOW.ALSO included in the poll (second question, see below) is that we want to make YOU plushies. That and the fact that we can't think of characters we want to make plushies of. We have a small list, but think we need to expand on it. SO if you ever wanted a huggable version of a character, and are willing to help us out, we will try and make it for you and give you a very discounted price (as this will be part of our trial period). WE DO reserve the right to say no... especially if it's ridiculous. It will most likely take us a while to get started and not really go in full mode until Christmastime, but would like to gauge.... interest. And test our skills.
For those of you curious about the stuff I've made... here's my Photobucket of the plushies. Both the large type and the smaller chibi ones will be up for 'production'. The large one will be improved upon (rounder head, better fabric use). And yes, those ARE pikmin. I guarantee it will look (somewhat) decent because I am pretty meticulous when it comes to costuming detail.

Also I have to process tomorrow some guy's pleural fluid and the surgical team thought it funny to send me 10 L of the stuff. This is by no means an exageration... I have three- 4 litre containers in the fridge.
That being said, some work stuff popped up so I will be working most of next week, albeit only half days (8-12 shifts) I don't like it very much since... it takes me almost two hours anyway to drive to and from work and for just 4 hours??? BUT I would rather be working and making SOME money than staying at home and being harassed by my dad about working, SO. Jocy, we can meet Thursday afternoon/most if not all of Friday?
I have NOTHING else interesting to say. Except that some people can be asses. BUT. I will live with it. And then kick them in the balls when opportunity strikes.
Nov 5 was the surgery, and I was up pretty early to drive them to the hospital. There was a bit of a panic because I dropped them off first and then COULD NOT FIND WHERE THE ADMITTING was, but a couple of phone calls later and I made it. I mostly kept my mom company until we got to see him in Recovery at around noon, and then another couple hours before he was headed to his room.
The rest of the days were pretty much a blur and he's home now. But I am always on my toes making sure he's comfortable so.
JUST A general update: HE IS okay and is on painkillers and.. yeah. We good. We cool.
CHINESE CALENDAR dictates I am 27 today. Ow.
Walked around the mall and had fun perusing clothes in coast mountain sports, criticizing the shoddy sewing with my dad and him telling me the merits of the different types of polar fleece. And then I tried on a 400 dollar Columbia jacket. It had zippers in the armpits it was hilarious.
HAD DIM SUM LUNCH and watched the neighboring table shell out 80 bucks for special tea. IDK man.
Dad's surgery tomorrow. We have to be in the hospital by 5:45 AM. WHAT THE HELL MAN.
Everytime I was feeling just a bit down, I would be interrupted by like, a simple text or... an elaborate fic that made me smile... or howl with laughter. SO.

I'd like to apologize (and apologize in advance) if I've been either cranky, bitchy or completely incoherent for the last little while.
It was quite entertaining, and I enjoyed it even though I was exhausted by the end of the night.
They played a LOT of FF8 music and it's sort of making me want to play... FF8 just because.
The night itself was pretty amazing in the 'holy crap I am meeting these people I have lost touch with' sort of night. As in, met a friend who went to Cambridge for his PhD down the stairs.
QUICK someone tell me about FF6.
So today I got this email from them going "NEW: TISSUE REMODELLING ---" and I thought, HOLY SHIT WHAT KIND OF DS game makes you try tissue remodelling and stuff?!
And then I clicked on a link and it was a textbook. And remembered I DID buy a textbook off them too. No DS game. >.> Although that would be amazing.

The past week has been... interesting, though I'm too tired to really mention it. let's just say I had a unique dinner party experience. DAMN good food though.
Been watching the news about Typhoon Ondoy that hit the Philippines and I'm just a little... mm, down about the whole thing. Family back there has been okay; we only got about 6 inches on the first floor, though my aunt and uncle apparently had to wade in the first day. Everyone's okay. Which is a relief. Got a lot of damage though, and one of my aunts lived in the building right by the river.
I dunno. Just feeling down. :(
This never fails. Ever. One time I would like him to come and not lecture me for inane things. LIKE BEING STINGY WITH MONEY. God dmmit, maybe I didn't want to buy a new car on a finance plan you think if I wanted to do that I would have said, 'hey dad I wanna buy a new car and take fours years to pay for it!!' NO.

Playing this after coming off of Dragon Quest V, (which is ultimately one of the easiest rpgs I have every played) IS PAINFULLY HARD.
In not-so gamer news, I went to the bank today and got mutual funds and stuff. Man, I feel like an adult.
Updates:
The past couple of days has got me completely preoccupied playing CFUW. IT was intense, it was amazing. It was pretty much solving a supernatural mystery. AND MY SLEEPING PATTERNS SUFFERED FOR IT. (Although I will say that was one of the best cfuw games I've played. Oddly enough probably one of the least stressful in game, but most in PLOT PLOT GIMME PLOT WHAT IS GOING ON?!) The game is now finished and I can catch up on life. HI FOLKS? HOW ARE YOU?
My brother has been downloading a whole bunch of games for the ps3, especially old PS1 games. He downloaded FF7 and decided to give it a go, since he played the computer version but never actually finished. AS WE WATCHED the opening sequence together, I almost cried blood as the old school graphics looked so shady under 1080. That or the fact that this game was just not meant to be played in a flat screen 65 inch tv. >.< STILL, I am watching him play (as well as picking up FF4 on the DS for the upcoming Distant Worlds concert).
My dad is coming back for three weeks this Sunday. I am both nervous and excited as I know one of the things we're going to do together is shop around for either a really cheap new car or a good used vehicle. God, no more driving around in a mommy van.
Watched Glee! It is amazing. I mean, where else can you see people sing to 'Push It' and see a white boy sing Golddigger? Hur hur. I urge you to watch it. It makes my tiny musical heart smile.
So, how are YOU GUYS today?
Now that I have your attention, here is a haphazard explanation why DOGS is awesome and how the English translations for this is INCREDIBLY AWESOME. I eagerly sugest people who was intrigued with the artstyle but completely turned off by the plot to at least pick up this volume. WHY, you may ask? Now... I've sort of been a fan of DOGS for a while, and even I've been a little confused about the plot. Ok, a LOT confused. (As much as I love the scanslations, they just don't make a lot of sense) But I picked up this volume and it's like a giant lightbulb just got turned on inside because they explain the little intricate details, including Haine's past, extra scenes for Naoto, even the whole 'WTF JUST HAPPENED IN THE FIRST CHAPTER?'
SO REALLY. I am basically gushing incoherently because I AM SO IN LOVE with this series all over again and MUCH LOVE goes to the official translator, Alexis Kirsch. YOU DA MAN. (woman).
And now I'm going to spam the rest of the post with awesome images from Miwa Shirow!!! So the man has a blog and a pixiv site and apparently he's hardcore fan of the persona series, TTGL and Vocaloid. OH GOD HIS ART. @_@ But really this is a post just so I can collect these images all together.

Small updates on life:
Brother has bought the new ps3 slim. .. and no game. We kind of mocked his fail but luckily he did get to borrow a friend's copy of Infamous. (ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR PS3 games go here) Actually, I've been doing a lot of 'watching people play videogames' this past week or so, especially since my sister recently modded her Wii so she's been able to play all these OTHER games. Highlight includes watching my brother play No More Heroes. If you've never played the game, main character has a light saber that in order to charge, you need to shake your wii-mote. SAID shaking motion looks a lot like you're trying to get someone off with a handjob. So whenever I want him to play the game, I make said hand motion. ... unfortunately, he looks at me funny and ignores me while I start cracking up myself. Also watched my sister play Resident Evil 4, and watched her try to kill a monster and fail 5 times only for me to suggest a particular tactic... and having the guy die in 4 shots. GO ME. (Now, if only I had the actual hand-eye coordination to PLAY these games, I'd be set.)
Also playing Professor Layton's new game. Nothing like a puzzle game to either make you feel REALLY SMART, or really dumb. (The three of us are having a competition on who collects the most points in the game).
. . . other than that, life has been pretty tame lately. I got my September schedule, which is again, practically full-time, which is GOOD.

My mom and relatives came back from the Alaskan cruise with souvenirs! From my darling little cousin (who's not so little, really) a little keychain of a husky that poops. Yeah. My mom got me a scarf, and upon closer inspection of the label on said scarf, noticed that it was trimmed with fur of lapin. My limited french made me recall that yes, that is rabbit. (I am convinced now that they just shaved the poor bunnies. I also got a little key... identified thing that goes into the head of the key. Apparently, me, my sister and my brother all wanted the grey one that featured a dead monkey face. Yeah, I dunno what that says about us.
Work has been the same; though the other casual here is a little... slow and I end up having to help him out in the other department. September schedule has yet to be released, so I am waiting on that.
Mom and dad wanted to take me with them to Vegas, and I almost agreed, until I found out that they were gonna go with six other people (around my grandma's age) and I just made a face and completely backed out. It's one thing to go around with just the parents, it's another to be the only 'young' one of an old group and just tagging behind them. Blergh.
NEED TO go to bookstore to pick up Dogs vol 1 and library... for recreational reading.
